Traffic Incident at 2819 Quitman

November 21, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian at 2819 Quitman on November 21, 2006 at 2:30 p.m.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiners' office. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant S.R. Sorge and Officer Vega and Walsh reported:

The female victim was walking across the parking lot of a Shell gas station when a vehicle struck her. The vehicle fled the scene. At this time, there is no vehicle description.
