Traffic Incident at 10100 Beaumont Highway

October 5, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 10100 block of Beaumont Highway about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 4).

The victim is identified as Santiago Perez, 20, of 2919 Royalwood.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant W.R. Cumbess and Officers D. Ertons and R. Kessler reported:

At this time, investigators have only been able to determine there was a head on collision between two vehicles. It appears one vehicle crossed left of the center line and struck the other. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Due to conflicting witness statements, it is unknown who is at fault in the accident pending further investigation.
