Traffic Incident at 1400 North Loop West

October 14, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1400 North Loop West about 3:35 a.m. today (Oct. 14).

The victim is identified as Vanity Lazard, 33.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant S. Sorge and Officers R. Davidson and C. Jack reported:

The driver of a silver sedan sideswiped a green Isuzu SUV traveling eastbound in the 1400 block of the North Loop West, causing the Isuzu to rollover. The silver sedan fled the scene. The driver and a rear seat passenger in the Isuzu were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries. Ms. Lazard, the front seat passenger in the Isuzu, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wanted vehicle is only described as a silver sedan.
