Traffic Incident at 1350 Westheimer

October 21, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 13500 block of Westheimer about 10:25 p.m. Friday (October 20).

The identity of the female victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer S.M. Johnson reported:

The victim was on foot crossing the street in the 13500 block of Westheimer when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was traveling at a reasonable speed and there are no charges pending at this time.
