Incident at 6711 Atwell Drive #30

September 3, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 6711 Atwell Drive apartment #30 on Monday, September 4, 2006 at about 7:55 p.m.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division investigators K.P. Carr and A. Mares, the victim lived in the same apartment with the suspect and another couple. The resident reported that the victim and suspect were alone in the apartment for about seven hours. When he returned he noticed the suspect sitting on the living room couch and the music blaring.

The resident turned the music down, went to the back of the apartment and knocked on the bedroom door of the victim. As the resident opened the door, the suspect fled from the apartment. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending positive identification, was found lying on his bed and bleeding. It appears the victim died from blunt trauma to the upper body.

The suspect's identity is unknown and had been in an on-going dispute with the victim. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
