Incident at 8801 South Braeswood

September 22, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 8801 South Braeswood on Thursday September 21, 2006 at 8:20 p.m.

The deceased victims' identity is being withheld pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olivo and Officer B. Nabors reported:

Citizens flagged down HPD patrol officers regarding a female who had been shot and was lying on the ground near building 14. Witnesses stated that the victim was a Katrina evacuee and she frequented the apartment complex.
