Incident at 6345 Windswept

September 23, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 6345 Windswept about 4:25 a.m. today (Sept. 23).

The identity of the male has not yet been released. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cruz Jr. and Officer E.R. Carstens reported:

The victim and his friends were in a vehicle, leaving the parking lot of Selina's Ballroom at 6345 Windswept when a group of males in another vehicle confronted them. Both groups exchanged words and the suspect and his group then began assaulting the victim and his friends. One of the suspects pulled a pistol and fired several shots at the victim and his group. The suspects then got back into their vehicle, drove around the victim and his group's vehicle, and then fired several more shots. The suspects, described only as four to five Hispanic males, then sped away east on Windswept. Their vehicle was described as a blue Lincoln Town Car.
