Incident at 12329 Palmtree

September 23, 2006 -- Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on an infant who died after she stopped breathing at 12329 Palmtree about 3:30 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 22).

The baby is identified as Audrey Zavesky, three months old, of 1300 Gemini #5205. She was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer I.F. Flores Jr. reported:

Investigators were called to the hospital regarding the death of a baby girl. They determined a babysitter had fed baby Audrey a formula bottle earlier in the afternoon. When the babysitter went back to check on the baby, the baby was not breathing. The babysitter performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

At this time, there are no indications of foul play in the baby's death. The case remains under investigation as the Harris County Medical Examiner's office conducts an autopsy.
