Update on Incident at 9700 Court Glen Drive #1601

September 29, 2006 -- Houston police have identified the victim and a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9700 Court Glen Drive #1601 about 11:10 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006.

The victim, Vernon "Keith" Moses suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Jeremy Thomas (bm/ DOB 7-23-86), of
New Orleans is wanted and charged with murder in the 177th State District Court. Thomas is 5 feet 10 inches tall weighing 145 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion. He was last seen on September 9, 2006 (see attached).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores and Officer R. Carstens reported that when officers responded to a shooting call they discovered the body of Vernon Moses inside of apartment #1601 at the above address. According to witnesses, Moses was last seen arguing with two male suspects. At some point during the argument, one of the suspects produced a handgun and shot Moses.

The suspect, Jeremy "Red" Thomas was last seen driving a gray or dark colored 1997 Toyota Avalon with Texas license plate S19XFH. Investigators believe Thomas may be in Houston or New Orleans and is considered extremely dangerous.
