Incident at 6500 Victoria

April 1, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6500 Victoria about 11:05 p.m. on Saturday (March 31).

The victim, Robert Sanchez, 30, of 335 Rouse, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. W. McStravick and C. W. Howard reported:

Mr. Sanchez was assaulted by a group of suspects when one of the suspects shot Sanchez.
