Investigators Release Surveillance Photo of Bank Robbery Suspect

April 2, 2007 -- Houston police investigators in the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force have released a photo of a bank robbery suspect as he robbed the Bank of America located inside the Fiesta grocery store at 1005 Blalock about 6:20 p.m. on Friday (March 30).

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and a muscular build. The suspect wore a black baseball cap and polo shirt with khaki shorts. The surveillance photo of the suspect is attached to this news release.

HPD Robbery Division Bank Squad Sergeant D.A. Ryza reported:

The suspect entered the store, approached a bank teller and handed her a note that demanded money and stated he had a bomb. The teller removed money from her drawer and handed it to the suspect, who then fled on foot.
