Traffic Incident at 8100 Gulf Freeway

April 16, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 8100 Gulf Freeway (Interstate 45 South) about 11:25 p.m.on Sunday (Apr.15).

The victim, Francisco Pol, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.C. Gonzalez and Officers S. Johnson and J. Perrotte reported:

Mr. Pol was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway on foot when he was struck by a Honda Prelude that was traveling north. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and showed no signs of intoxication.

The investigation is continuing.
