Incident at 6734 Burkett

February 26, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6734 Burkett about 12:50 p.m. on Friday (February 23).

The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.O. Scott and Officers C.L. Scales and T.J. McCorvey reported:

The victim was walking down the street in the 6700 block of Burkett when he was shot. The suspect(s) may have been in a white vehicle.
