Incident at 10400 Sandpiper Drive

March 28, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 10400 block of Sandpiper Drive about 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday (Mar. 27).

The identity of the victim, 26, is being withheld pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer L. Lovelace reported:

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 10402 Sandpiper. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim between the curb and sidewalk. He had been shot at least one time. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by HFD paramedics. A wheelchair was found near the scene, but it is unclear if it is part of the incident.
There are no witnesses nor motive in the shooting at this time.
