Investigation into Drownings at 2135 Thicket Ridge Lane

July 24, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the drownings of two children at 2135 Thicket Ridge Lane about 7:15 p.m. on Thursday (July 23).

The male victims, Gonzalo Ramiro, 9, and Alvaro Ramiro, 6, were transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

The two boys were left at their home in the care of a nanny while their mother ran errands.  Upon returning, their mother found the boys, along with a camping tent, in the pool.  The two children had apparently been playing with the tent when, for unknown reasons, it and the children entered the pool.  The two boys became entangled in the tent and, despite being given medical attention, were pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
