Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1001 Pinemont

November 12, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 1001 Pinemont #100 about 1:30 a.m. today (Nov. 12).

The victim, Patrick Petitt, 35, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His uncle, Craig Miller, 51, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Hogue and W. Gilbert reported:

About 1:30 a.m, an unknown suspect was allowed into the apartment shared by Mr. Petitt and Mr. Miller.  Miller heard an argument between Petitt and the suspect and then saw the suspect point and fire a handgun at Petitt, fatally shooting him.  Miller attempted to take the gun away from the suspect and was also shot.  The suspect then fled the scene.
