Update: Two Suspects Arrested, Charged in 2014 Murder at 7630 Yoe Street



November 23, 2015 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of two men at 7630 Yoe Street about 6:05 p.m. on July 9, 2014.  

The suspects, Oliver Damone Shepard (b/m, 26) and Clyde Earl Wortham (b/m, 32), are charged with capital murder in the 263rd and 232nd State District Courts, respectively.  Photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.  

The two are accused in the killings of Lonnie Jenkins, 32, and Billy Robinson, 36, of Houston.  Mr. Jenkins died at the scene, while Mr. Robinson was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he also was pronounced dead.    

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and J. Burton reported:

Both victims were shot at a residence at the above address.  The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.  At that time, there was no known motive for the shooting.

Further investigation determined the shooting was committed during an aggravated robbery and identities were developed on the suspects. Oliver Shepard was taken into custody last Thursday (Nov. 19) by HPD patrol officers during a traffic stop in the 10300 block of Mesa Road.  Wortham was arrested the following day (Nov. 20) by HPD SWAT officers in the 13700 block of Cambury.
