Suspects Sought in Shooting Incident at 1700 Seaspray


August 17, 2016 - Houston police are seeking the public's help in locating three suspects wanted for firing shots at an HPD officer at 1700 Seaspray about 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 16).

HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Stark and G. Sullivan reported:

An HPD officer was working an approved extra job at an apartment complex at the above address when he heard an alarm going off near the leasing office.  Upon investigation, he observed three black males who appeared to be breaking into a vehicle.  The officer, wearing an HPD jacket, identified himself as an HPD officer.  The suspects then fled on foot with the officer pursuing.  During the foot chase, the suspects ran to the east side of the apartment complex where one of the suspects turned and fired about four gunshots at the officer.  The officer was not injured and did not return fire.
