Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Man at 7000 Chimney Rock



March 16, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 7000 Chimney Rock about 9 p.m. on Monday (March 14).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers N. Sharp, A. Vinogradov and D. Williamson reported:

Witnesses stated the victim got into an altercation with suspects in a green, four-door Honda sedan with dark tinted windows.  At some point, the suspects fired multiple shots at the victim and struck him.  The victim drove his vehicle a short distance where he crashed at 7000 Chimney Rock.  Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
