Incident at 414 Pickney

August 28, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 414 Pickney on August 27, 2005 about 12:10 p.m.

The victim's identity and cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Binford and Officer R. Swainson reported:

A homeless person flagged down a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy that was in the area. The deputy was advised that a dead person was located in a warehouse nearby. The deputy searched the area and located the badly decomposed body of a male in a vacant pipe distribution warehouse building. The building had several bedding areas present and it was littered with food items and empty bottles as if people frequented the property. No other person was found there at the time of the investigation.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2800 Campbell Road

April 10, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2800 Campbell Road about 7 a.m. today (April 10).  

The identity of the female victim, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer A. Hart reported:  

The male driver of a black Subaru Impreza was traveling the wrong way northbound on Campbell when he left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert/ditch.  The victim, a passenger, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The male driver, 19, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition.  

Preliminary indications are neither persons were wearing a seat belt.  

The investigation is continuing.
