Incident at 8200 South Gessner

December 31, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8200 South Gessner about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday (Dec.30).

The wounded victim is identified as Fremin Bedolla, 20, of 8801 South Braeswood. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he is in extremely critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.K. Peters and Officer A.J. Palos reported:

Mr. Bedolla and several friends were traveling southbound in the 8200 block of South Gessner when they had some type of altercation with a Hispanic male driving a black Toyota Four Runner. At the intersection of South Gessner and Beechnut, the suspect pulled along side of the victim's vehicle and fired a weapon striking Bedolla in the head.

The suspect is only described as a Hispanic male driving an older model black Toyota Four Runner.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9400 North Freeway

December 7, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 9400 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) that occurred about 10:15 p.m. on Sunday (December 6).

The male victim, 40, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer Z. Radcliffe reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a silver GMC Acadia and then by a white Ford Fusion.  Although both drivers initially left the scene, they either returned or called police following the incident.  

There are no charges at this time, pending further investigation.
