Incident at 9605 Southwest Freeway

April 2, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9605 Southwest Freeway on April 1, 2006 about 9:30 p.m.

The identity of the deceased male victim is pending notification to next of kin. He suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer C. Park reported:

The victim was pulling into the parking lot of a club when his vehicle was partially blocked by the suspect's vehicle. The victim and his brother honked at the suspect and got out of their truck. They walked over to the suspect's front passenger side and began yelling at the suspect. A short time later, the suspect fired one shot striking the victim.

The suspect fled the location in a 1999 black Ford Expedition.

Investigation into Shooting at 500 Neyland Street

October 9, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men that occurred at 500 Neyland Street about 5:50 p.m. on Thursday (October 8).  

The victims, both 32, were transported to an area hospital where doctors expect them to survive.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Kimbrough and A. Barker reported:  

The victims were standing on the street near their vehicle at the above address when a black, four-door vehicle approached them.  Unknown suspects then stated "Happy birthday" and fired shots at both victims.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victims to the hospital.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
