Incident at 5601 Laura Koppe

December 17, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5601 Laura Koppe about 12:30 a.m. today (December 17).

The victim, Lee Marvin Fransaw, 30, of 9134 Laura Koppe, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer P. Yochum reported:

Mr. Fransaw was standing outside of the nightclub at 5601 Laura Koppe with a large crowd when the suspect began firing shots at the location. Fransaw was struck, as were three other persons. The three other victims were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation into Shooting at 6400 Marinette Street

December 13, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male at 6400 Marinette Street about 8:30 p.m. last Friday (December 10).  

The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives L. Thornton and L. Castellanos reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and learned the victim was inside his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown suspect.  The suspect then shot the victim multiple times and fled the scene  The victim fled the scene in his vehicle and crashed in the 7200 block of Clarewood Drive.  

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
