Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 402 East Delz

August 9, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 402 East Delz about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday (August 8).  

The victim, John Edwards, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Edwards deceased inside the doorway of the residence.  He had been shot multiple times.  There were no signs of forced entry.  Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and saw two to four unknown male suspects enter and exit the residence.  Some of the suspects then took Edwards' vehicle, a 2009 white Dodge Ram pickup truck with no tailgate and Texas license plate FTP7410.  They fled the scene in the stolen Dodge and a dark-colored black or red four-door sedan.  

The suspects are described only as two to four black males of unknown age.
