May 28, 2019 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 7225 Bellerive Drive about 12:50 a.m. on May 23.

The suspect, Louis Jones (b/m, 66), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Brodrick Simon, 28, who was transported to an area hospital.

A photo of Jones is not available for release at this time.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Williams and B. Salazar reported:

Mr. Simon was taking out the trash outside a residence at the above address when he was met by a suspect known to him, who then shot Simon at least three times.  Simon was transported by private vehicle to the hospital.  The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately after the shooting.

Investigators learned Simon and the suspect had an argument about money two days earlier (May 21).
