Investigation into Shooting at 7400 Harwin Drive

March 17, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and a woman at 7400 Harwin Drive about 5:45 p.m. on Monday (March 16).  

The victims, Canoy Bryant, 28, and Alaycia Brown, 20, were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer L. Bolmanski reported:  

Mr. Bryant and Ms. Brown were standing outside a unit in an office building at the above address that they were using as a residence.  A female stepped off an elevator near the victims and, as she walked past, the three got into an altercation.  At some point, shots were fired and Bryant and Brown were struck.  Subsequently, Houston Fire Department paramedics transported them to the hospital.  The female went to the HPD Midwest Patrol Station to report the shooting and was detained, questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, pending further investigation.
