May 11, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 3802 Faulkner Street about 6:25 p.m. on Sunday (May 10).

The victim, Isreal Peterson, 34, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Cimeni reported:

Mr. Peterson and the suspect were fighting over a firearm when Peterson took the suspect's firearm away from him.  Peterson and the suspect continued fighting when the suspect discharged another firearm and struck Peterson on his leg.  Witnesses stated Peterson and the suspect are known to each other.  The suspect was gone prior to officers' arrival.
