Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting Incident at 12555 Richmond Avenue

October 12 2020 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in a shooting incident that occurred at 12555 Richmond Avenue about 12:15 p.m. on Friday (October 9).  

The suspect, Jamichael Cruse (b/m, 27), is charged with misdemeanor burglary of a motor vehicle in Harris County Criminal Court #8.  A photo of Cruse is not available at this time.

Cruse suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and was treated and released from West Houston Medical Center.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers M. Althaus and Z. Brumley reported:

The male victim, 24, went to a bank at Westheimer and Hayes.  As he left, he noticed a vehicle was following him.  The victim returned to his job at the above address, parked in the parking lot, and went inside.  The driver who had followed the victim from the bank then parked next to the victim's vehicle.  Suspect Cruse then got out of the vehicle, broke the front passenger window of the victim's vehicle, and entered.  The victim ran outside and, seeing Cruse still inside his vehicle, grabbed a pistol from his driver's side door and shot Cruse one time.

The investigation is still on-going.
