August 10, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 9600 Southwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 South) about 3:40 a.m. on Monday (August 9).

The male victim, 19, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Huerta and C. Brannen reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found a white Jeep Liberty had been damaged by gunfire and the victim was inside.  The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

At this time there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
