August 16, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the assault of a man at 11300 Meadowglen Lane about 2:35 p.m. on Sunday (August 15).

The victim, Michael Derouen, 56, was transported to an area hospital with a fracture to his jaw.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers Z. Brumley and A. Velazquez reported:

Witnesses stated that Mr. Derouen was at a gas station at the above address when he was struck with a metal pipe and kicked by three suspects.  The suspects, described only as two black males and one black female, fled the scene before officers arrived.  Paramedics transported Derouen to the hospital.
