Update: Surveillance Video Released in Fatal Shooting at 9602 Jensen Drive

August 20, 2021 - Houston police have released surveillance video in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another man at 9602 Jensen Drive about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday (August 15).

The first victim, Cammeron Harris, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second victim, Alex Straughter, 24, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and M. Condon reported:

Mr. Harris was putting fuel in his Dodge Durango SUV at the gas station at the above address when the unknown suspects approached him and began shooting.  Harris suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Mr. Straughter was struck in the lower torso and was transported to the hospital. 

The suspects are described only as three young Hispanic males, with thin builds, and wearing masks.

The suspects fled the scene in Mr. Harris' SUV and a silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.  Both vehicles were later located, abandoned and set on fire.

Further investigation determined the pickup truck had been stolen on August 4.  Anyone who may have seen the suspects driving the silver pickup truck between the time of the theft and the shooting a week and a half later is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
