Investigation into Shooting at 3116 Nance Street

May 24, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3116 Nance Street about 4:55 a.m. on Saturday (May 22).

The victim, Sean Jefferson, 33, was transported to an area hospital to undergo surgery.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers C. Brown, A. Graf and B. Godoy reported:

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the residence at the above address and found Mr. Jefferson had been shot, possibly with a shotgun.  Mr. Jefferson was transported to an area hospital.  He told officers he was answering the door when a suspect pulled a gun on him and then shot him when he tried to run inside the home.  

Witnesses provided conflicting information and stated Mr. Jefferson may have been attempting suicide.  The investigation is continuing.
