Update: Surveillance Video of Suspect Wanted in May Fatal Shooting at 2950 West Sam Houston Parkway South

August 5, 2022 - Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 2950 West Sam Houston Parkway South (Beltway 8) about 10:20 p.m. on May 27.

The suspect is described as a black male is his 20s, with long locks with blonde tips. He was wearing red shorts, a white tank top and multi-colored socks. The surveillance video is posted on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/-QihvjzSmRE

The victim, Andre Garner, 32, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a motel parking lot at the above address and found Mr. Garner unresponsive on a sidewalk. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation determined Garner and a black male suspect were arguing when the suspect pulled out a gun, shot Garner and then fled on foot.
