August 8, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9550 Deering Drive about 2 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 7).

The identity of the victim, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found the male victim unresponsive on a sidewalk inside the complex. He had been shot multiple times. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man deceased.

Detectives learned a possible recent dispute had occurred between the victim and a male suspect. The suspect shot the victim and then fled the scene. There is no additional suspect information at this time.
