December 29, 2022 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a juvenile male at 2118 River Village Drive about 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday (December 28).

The identity of the male, 16, is pending verification by the Montgomery County Forensic Services.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective E. Martinez reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and found the male suffering from a gunshot wound. A weapon was located near the male. Paramedics transported the male to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased.

At this time, it is believed the shooting was accidental or self-inflicted. The investigation is pending an autopsy.
