Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6320 Windswept Lane
June 9, 2022 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of man found at 6320 Windswept Lane and the second shooting of a man at 6000 Skyline Drive that occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday (June 7).
The suspect, Julio Arnoldo Osorio Saca, 18, is charged with murder and aggravated robbery in the 174th State District Court. Osorio Saca's booking photo is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The second male victim, Tomas Francisco Cua Cua, 26, suffered non-life threatening injury.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Detective M. Estep reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 6000 Skyline Drive. They found Mr. Cua Cua suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He advised officers he was a victim of a robbery when the suspect shot him in the leg.
HPD patrol officers also responded to a shooting call at an apartment at 6320 Windswept Lane. They found the unresponsive deceased male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics declared him deceased at the scene.
Investigators were advised that the deceased male and Osorio Saca were in the area of 6000 Skyline Drive targeting victims for robbery. As Osorio Saca exited the front passenger seat of their vehicle, the gun he was holding discharged and struck his co-conspirator (deceased male). Osorio Saca continued with the robbery, shooting Cua Cua and fleeing the scene as the passenger in his vehicle.
After a short distance, the deceased male lost consciousness and Osorio Saca removed him from the driver’s seat and placed him in the passenger seat. Osorio Saca then drove to 6320 Windswept Lane where he removed the deceased male co-conspirator and carried him into an apartment.
Officers detained and questioned Osorio Saca, who admitted to his role in the incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
