Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11000 Homestead Road

June 13, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 11000 Homestead Road about 10:10 p.m. on Saturday (June 11).

The identity of a deceased male victim, 34, and a female victim, 32, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Trevino reported:

A red Chevrolet Corvette and a black GMC pickup truck were racing at high rates of speed at the above address when the Corvette struck the pickup truck, causing the truck to leave the roadway and strike multiple trees. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male driver and female passenger of the truck deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Corvette did not stop to render aid and parked at a nearby residence. Investigators interviewed the owner of the Corvette. After consulting with members of the Harris County District Attorney's Office, it was determined no charges would be filed at the time, pending further investigation.
