September 6, 2022 - The death of a man at 4640 Main Street about 8:05 p.m. on Monday (September 5) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

The identity of the deceased male, 64, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a request for police assistance from Houston Fire Department personnel at an apartment complex at the above address.  Officers arrived and detained a woman, 52, who claimed to be the girlfriend of a man found unresponsive inside the apartment.  Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.  

The woman was questioned and released.   

The investigation was presented to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, who referred the case to a grand jury for review.
