Legislative Advocacy

Mayor Turner has advocated on behalf of the City of Houston on several pieces of federal legislation. Working closely with our Congressional Delegation, the Mayor’s Office actively tracks bills going through the legislative process and provides feedback on how the measures would affect Houston.

The measures listed represent areas where the City of Houston has offered direct testimony and actively worked on with members of Congress. Whether it is promoting or opposing legislation, the Mayor’s Office looks to provide Houston specific examples for members to know the benefits and consequences to the city.
