Mayor Turner’s leadership in various national organizations has helped amplify the City of Houston’s agenda. As a leader in various national organizations, Mayor Turner has helped lead the conversations on economic development, equity, climate change mitigation, resiliency, voting rights, and homelessness policies.

The Mayor can point to Houston programs as examples of best practices. From Houston’s Climate Action Plan in the “Energy Capital of the World” aimed at reducing emissions or with the comprehensive response to harden city infrastructure in Resilient Houston, Mayor Turner Houston’s efforts draw a national audience.
