Investigation into Shooting at 2707 Staples Street

April 30, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 2707 Staples Street about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday (April 29).

The victim, William Padilla, 31, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Combs and J. Kimbrough reported:

Mr. Padilla stated he was inside the residence at the above address when a suspect came into his home and shot him.  The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.  Padilla was taken in a private vehicle to an area hospital in stable condition.  

The investigation is ongoing.  The suspect(s) has not been identified at this time.
