Sidewalk Ordinance Amendments
The Planning and Development Department is proposing amendments to the Sidewalk Ordinance. The intent is to create a complete sidewalk network in the city by providing more sidewalk options and establishing a sidewalk fund and protocols for constructing sidewalks. Staff presented the proposed Sidewalk Ordinance amendments to the Planning Commission at 2:30 p.m., May 26, 2022.

The public may also attend the Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, June 23 in person or virtually. The meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the City Hall Annex Council Chamber, 900 Bagby, and virtually on Microsoft Teams. View Planning Commission meeting details. Meetings are also broadcasted on the HTV Houston municipal channel and streamed on the City’s HTV website.
The public may address the Planning Commission on agenda items. The deadline to submit comments or sign up to speak is 2:30 p.m. on the Wednesday before the Planning Commission meeting.
