Investigation into Shooting at 1838 Ahrens Street

April 30, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile female at 1838 Ahrens Street about 2:20 a.m. today.

The victim, 11, suffered a graze wound to her left ear and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers F. Lee and J. Windham reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call and learned the victim and her family were asleep inside the home at the above address when the residence was struck by gunfire from an unknown suspect(s).  One of the bullets grazed the victim in the ear.  She was then taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

At this time, there is no suspect information.
