Traffic Incident at 600 East Loop South

March 6, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 600 block of the East Loop South (610 Loop) about 2:40 a.m. today (March 7).

The victim, Everado Comelie, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.C. Gonzales and Officer J. Vega reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a maroon Nissan Maxima traveling south on the East Loop South when the Maxima struck the left wall, bounced off, struck the right wall, and then stopped on the freeway. The driver of the Maxima died at the scene.
