Composite Sketch Released in Sex Assault Investigation
December 16, 2008 - Investigators in the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division and Sex Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a wanted suspect believed responsible for at least two cases of attempted sexual assault in the near downtown Houston area.
The suspect is described as a white male, 35 to 45 years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has a large belly, green or hazel colored eyes, short blond or grayish hair and is unshaven. A composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release.
In the first incident, which occurred on Dec. 3 in the 1800 block of Hardy, the suspect was wearing a dark blue shirt, black pants, black tennis shoes and a black baseball cap. In the second incident, which occurred on Monday (Dec. 15) in the 300 block of West Polk, he was wearing a gray polo shirt with a University of Texas emblem and jeans. In both incidents, the suspect was armed with a kitchen knife and forced his way into the residence. Both female victims were found bound and had suffered stab wounds.
Similarities in both incidents lead investigators to believe the same individual is responsible.
Anyone with information on this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600, HPD Sex Crimes Unit at 713-308-1180 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
