Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10300 Bissonnet


March 27, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10300 Bissonnet about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday (March 25).

The identity of the male victim, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer L. Tram reported:

Witnesses stated the victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street at the above address, not at a crosswalk, when he was struck by a red or maroon truck traveling westbound on Bissonnet.  The driver, possibly a Hispanic male, then fled the scene in the truck without rendering aid.  Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
