The suspect is described only as a white male, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 120 to 150 pounds.  He was wearing sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and pants.  A surveillance photo of the suspect is attached to this news release.

The first incident was at the Kroger at 3410 Northpark Drive about 1 p.m. when the suspect approached the customer service booth, demanded money and showed a black pistol from his waistband.  When the employee told the suspect she had to call her manager, the suspect fled the store without any money.

The other incident happened about 1:40 p.m. at the Walgreens at 1210 Kingwood Drive when the suspect demanded money and showed a gun to an employee at the cash register.  When the suspect placed a black bag on the counter, the employee complied with his demands and gave him an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.  The suspect then walked out of the store.
