Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man at 6700 Sylmar Road about 12:30 a.m. last Tuesday (March 20).  

The suspect, Kristian Daniel Pedroza (H/m, 30), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of his father, Bulmaro Hernandez Pedroza, 64, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Roberts and G. Black reported:

Mr. Pedroza was fatally beaten at the above address.  Prior to the assault, witnesses stated Mr. Pedroza and his son, Kristian Pedroza, were involved in a confrontation and Kristian then fled the scene on foot.

Kristian Pedroza was subsequently charged and taken into custody on Saturday (March 24) without incident.
