Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 12100 Sunset Meadow Lane about 8:40 p.m. on Sunday (May 27).  

The victim, Brian Ezike, 26, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.  

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers L. Kauffman and C. Bowling reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Ezike had been shot in the back.  He was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.  

At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
