Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7600 Westheimer

November 26, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7600 Westheimer about 3:15 a.m. on Sunday (November 25).

The male victim, 22, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Baker reported:

The driver of a gray Honda SUV had just exited a fast food restaurant when he crossed four lanes of traffic and was struck by a red Honda motorcycle operated by the victim.  According to witnesses, the victim was traveling above the speed limit at the time of the crash and may have been traveling up and down Westheimer throughout the night at high rates of speed.

The driver of the Honda SUV remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.

There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
